Cocktails & Cupcakes: Lillet Rosé Grapefruit & Rose Gin Cocktails with Gin & Tonic Cupcakes
I love pairing cocktails with cupcakes. For this pairing I made gin-based cocktails with Lillet Rosé, a fortified French wine aperitif similar to vermouth that’s a great match for fresh ruby red grapefruit juice, rose syrup and of course gin.
For the cupcakes I added a few tablespoons of gin and rosewater to the buttercream. To the cake base I added some grapefruit zest, which made the cupcakes taste like a real grapefruit rose gin and tonic. Along with the Lillet Rosé cocktails they were a beautiful and unique cocktail and cupcake pairing!
