Violet Gin Fizz Cocktail
The Violet Gin Fizz is a very romantic cocktail that will definitely make you swoon, which is why I’m planning on serving them at my viewing party of the Royal Wedding this weekend.
This cocktail is a heady mixture of violet liqueur, violet syrup, raspberry syrup, tart lemon juice, gin, heavy cream, and an egg white, which creates a foamy top when shaken in a cocktail shaker.
They certainly go down easy, so be careful not to drink too many, or you might actually believe you’ve become a guest at the Royal Wedding!
Violet Gin Fizz:
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 oz. gin
- 1 oz. Bitter Truth Violet Liqueur
- 1 tsp Monin Violet Syrup (available on Amazon)
- 1 tsp Monin raspberry syrup (available on Amazon)
- 1 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 egg white
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- Tonic water (or J. Gasco Sparkling Violet soda available in specialty shops)
- Ice
- Violet flowers to garnish (optional)
Directions:
Combine the gin, violet liqueur, violet syrup, raspberry syrup and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker.
Dry shake (without the ice or club soda) until well combined, then add the ice and heavy cream and continue to shake until thick and frothy.
Pour into a tall glass filled with ice and top it off with tonic water and fresh violet flowers. Enjoy!
