I use <a href=\"https:\/\/svtea.com\/collections\/earl-grey\/products\/copy-of-earl-grey-tea\">Simpson &amp; Vail&#8217;s earl grey tea<\/a>, my go-to for earl grey-infused drinks and desserts.<\/p>\n<p>This drink can also be made into a delicious mocktail version by omitting the gin and adding more tea.*<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Earl Grey Marteani<\/h2>\n<p>Makes one 6 oz. cocktail<\/p>\n<h3>Ingredients<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>1 1\/2 oz. gin<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 oz. lemon juice<\/li>\n<li>3\/4 oz. <a href=\"https:\/\/svtea.com\/collections\/earl-grey\/products\/copy-of-earl-grey-tea\">earl grey<\/a> simple syrup (recipe below)<\/li>\n<li>1 egg white (optional) (or substitute 1 Tbsp aquafaba for a vegan friendly version)<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 cup brewed <a href=\"https:\/\/svtea.com\/collections\/earl-grey\/products\/copy-of-earl-grey-tea\">Simpson &amp; Vail earl grey tea<\/a>, chilled<\/li>\n<li>Ice<\/li>\n<li>Lemon wedge<\/li>\n<li>Dried blue cornflowers (optional)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Directions:<\/h3>\n<p>Add the gin, lemon juice, syrup and egg white (if using) to a cocktail shaker, shaking vigorously for 30 seconds.<\/p>\n<p>Add a handful of ice and shake again for another 30 seconds until the cocktail is foamy.<\/p>\n<p>Strain into a chilled martini glass and fill to the top with the reserved earl grey tea.<\/p>\n<p>Garnish with a lemon wedge and the cornflowers if using.<\/p>\n<p>Enjoy!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Earl Grey Simple Syrup*<\/h2>\n<h3>Ingredients<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>2 Tbsp <a href=\"https:\/\/svtea.com\/collections\/earl-grey\/products\/copy-of-earl-grey-tea\">Simpson &amp; Vail earl grey tea<\/a> leaves<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup water<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup sugar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Directions:<\/h3>\n<p>Bring the sugar and water to a simmer in a small saucepan, cooking on medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Remove from<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>heat and add the tea leaves. After 30 minutes strain out the tea and set aside until the syrup has cooled to room temperature.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>*Leftover syrup can be drizzled over yogurt or ice cream or added to sparkling water.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>*Earl Grey Marteani Mocktail<\/h2>\n<p>Using the same ingredients and directions as above, substitute 1 1\/2 oz. brewed earl grey tea for the gin, topping up the glass with additional tea as needed.
