National Tea Day in the UK was on April 21st, which also happens to fall on the Queen\u2019s birthday. In honor of the occasion I celebrated with one of my favorite teas, Whittard of Chelsea\u2019s English Rose Tea, paired with their \u201cQueen of Hearts\u201d Strawberry Biscuits. The tea & biscuit tins couldn\u2019t have been any cuter. Featuring the theme of the \u201cQueen of Hearts\u201d from Alice in Wonderland, these little heart-shaped biscuits had a wonderful strawberry flavor that paired well with the floral tea.<\/p>\n

This British company\u2019s teas are incredibly popular all over the world. I first had this tea while I was living in Japan. I absolutely fell in love with this black tea blend, which gets much of its majestic rose flavor from the whole dried rosebuds strewn throughout the tea leaves.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m glad that I was able to celebrate National Tea Day with these lovely tea and biscuits, which brought a lot of British elegance to my in-home afternoon tea experience right here in Portland, Oregon.<\/p>\n
